As we enter our third month of closure and social distancing, in an effort to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Big Canvas Theater will remain closed to all performances, rehearsals and all Big Canvas Training Center classes until such time as the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Nebraska, and City of Omaha leadership allow us, as a theater, to re-open. At this time, we are not in a position to set a re-opening date yet as we are witnessing the constant change of the projected peak date of the virus in Nebraska. The potential for a targeted opening date is continually changing and we will not be re-opening until we are 100% comfortable.
All that being said, the Big Canvas Board, Staff, Performers and Educators are itching to bring back Comedy For Everyone. Big Canvas has been watching and learning from so many other organizations regarding what to do and what not to do, when it comes to reaching our audiences, friends and family in this time of Covid-19.
As you have seen via our Big Canvas social media via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Pupp-IT Corner continues to answer questions in a fun and entertaining way for all ages.

Beginning Monday, May 4th at 7 pm, The Big Canvas Training Center will be offering a weekly Learn n’ Jam session for all experience levels. A brief lesson of the week, some exercises, then we JAM!
Finally, the Big Canvas Co-Founders are in the final stages of releasing their first on-line improv show in hopes to set the stage for all your favorite Big Canvas shows to do the same.
These have been very difficult decisions, but Big Canvas has worked closely with our Board of Directors and is following the guidance of city, state and federal officials to implement strategies recommended by public health authorities and the CDC to ensure the health and well-being of our audience, guests, artists, volunteers and staff. This is a fast-changing situation and one that presents new challenges and potential opportunities to all of us. We appreciate your cooperation as we work through this situation together. Big Canvas is very thankful and grateful for all the support, we have received, are receiving, and will receive in the future. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available on our website BigCanvasComedy.com and all forms of social media. We are looking forward to bringing Fast, Funny, Family Friendly Comedy for Everyone back to the Omaha and surrounding areas.
